hi all !

Today downloaded VirtualBox v.1.3.2. I really liked that OSS product,
I found today (due to osnews.com) !

I liked the product very much, since it's the first major OSS
virtualization product for Linux and a very good cross-platform
package.

It's much-much better than what was available before that in the OSS
world (solutions such as Qemu and Bochs). This solution, however, has
a real chance to compete with both MS Virtual PC/Virtual Server and
VMware. And it's my best wish to help build an excellent
emulation/virtualization suite. Unfortunately, I'm not a developer,
but have much experience with different emulators, and therefore I see
myself in the right position to be useful as a beta-tester.

I have decided to offer my help with BETA-testing and sent my ICA.

I haven't found BugZilla on your website as of yet, so I would be
thankful, if you drop me a link please.

How do I fill feature-requests ?

The biggest one is to fully support Win9x (Windows 95/98/98SE/Me) as a
guest OS, including guest VM integration additions. Those OSes are
still widely used, for software testing purposes of
backward-compatibility, and it's still needed by legacy software that
cannot be run on newer OSes and isn't updated anymore.

I understand that supporting those as Host OSes might be too
difficult, but as guest OSes it should be easier. I think, that
supporting Win9x as host OS is not really needed anyways, since Win9x
cannot fully utilize powerful hardware (such as: multi-core CPUs, and
big hard disks).

In addition, I want to inform you, that I already have good working
relationships with one team in Germany, namely the SUSE team. (which
might lead to better integration between VirtualBox and SUSE
eventually)

Bye
