Hmm... it's really strange man...
Running openSUSE 10.2 successfully with 2.6.18.2 (default SUSE) kernel
(without guest integration).as both Host and Guest on VirtualBox
1.3.4. (integration is very buggy - don't install)

This means, that generally, Linux works. After all the differences
between distros shouldn't be that big.... Debian should work as
well...

Maybe I'll try Debian at some point in the future... (I have "Sarge":
2 DVDs lying around)

BTW: upgrade to 1.3.4 is *very* recommended as it solves a lot of
nasty bugs a several crash bugs.
