I set the perm to 777, reconciled it against /etc/fstab, rebooted the
machine and still no USB within the VM nor from the VirtualBox 'Setting'
menu.  

I'm guessing it's busted in 1.3.6 as it's been previously stated (previous
solution was for 1.3.4)

The Host OS very much recognizes my USB devices.
