I haven't done excessive testing but I did move two .VDI's (a W2K and an openSUSE 10.2) which were created on a W2K Host O/S to a openSUSE 10.2 Host O/S and run them successfully. The openSUSE 10.2 Guest O/S has Oracle installed and I was able to start the Oracle Instances (two of them) and the listener.
