As I am the maintainer of the Linux driver bcm43xx for Broadcom wireless chips, 
it is not possible 
for me to use a "tainted" kernel, which prevents any binary-only kernel 
modules. AFAIK, that rules 
out any other virtualizer except the lowest level of Qemu, but it has really 
poor performance.

My uses of the Windows guest are so infrequent that it wouldn't be worth while 
adding an XP quest, 
and I'll live with the 16-color problem. If I have any spare time, I'll look 
into adding new drivers.
