Remember that the audio hardware is made up from two parts:
- AC97 chip
- codec chip
Even if you have the driver for one part, you still need another one for the
other.

I stand to be corrected, but I don't believe the sigmatel chips
existed back in the day of 98 yet, and they definitely didn't exist in
the day of nt4.
