Hi Frank

yes the correct source has been installed for the kernel in use, as
well as the kernel devel files.
I'm now downloading kernel-linus-2.6.23.1-1mdv, complete with source.

your kernel module refuses to build on the current kernel, yet I'm able
to build the vboxdrv module that supplied for ver 1.5.0, but 1.5.2 wont
accept it.

I'll reboot with the new kernel and try again
