A vdi file is a complete image of a hard drive. Therefore, everything
installed on it should still be there. I have no idea why you'd be
seeing only a base install after importing your vdi file again. I know
this could happen under xp if you switch from the default user
administrator, to another user account with admin rights. However,
simply importing a vdi file shouldn't have done that. Sorry I can't
help here, maybe someone else will have an answer.
