Zed I tried several times in vain....USB will not work with Virtualbox in LinuxMint at all! I installed "Vmware Server and Player"; now I can run "Win 2k" and "Vista" in Virtual mode on my LinuxMint OS. I know "Vmware is commercial software, however it is completely free and USB works without a hitch! Look take it from me...it's like banging your head on a brick wall.....save yourself and your sanity.....install Vmware at least until they iron out the bugs between "Virtualbox and LinuxMint!
