Zed I tried several times in vain....USB will not work with Virtualbox in
LinuxMint at all!  I installed "Vmware Server and Player"; now I can run
"Win 2k" and  "Vista" in Virtual mode on my LinuxMint OS.  I know "Vmware is
commercial software, however it is completely free and USB works without a
hitch!
Look take it from me...it's like banging your head on a brick wall.....save
yourself and your sanity.....install Vmware at least until they iron out the
bugs between "Virtualbox and LinuxMint!
