My operating system is LinuxMINT and I am running Virtualbox 1.5.4 with
Windows 2000 as guest.
No USB choice is given in Settings but when I click on Settings the
following error message appears:

service might be not installed on the host computer.

I do have USB 2.0 installed on the machine.
As I'm rather a novice at using Virtualbox, I am at a loss on how to
proceed. If anyone on the list is able to point me in the right
direction, I'd be most grateful.
