Hi,
I recently tested Virtualbox again, for use on the desktop instead of
Xen, which is sometimes a bit too hard to handle for simple and fast
tests on the desktop, and Qemu is too slow.

One thing I realized that is different in Virtualbox compared to Xen,
Qemu, and VMware is, that I don't seem to find any ways to use existing
block devices (partitions, lvm's, etc.) as disk, but only vdi files.

Is there a plan/workaround to enable Virtualbox to use standard block devices?

(I will check the docs if I find some hints if ther is at least some
possibility to convert to and from vdi files, and mount them for
debugging and things like that.)

Henning
