based on a suggestion in the user's manual, i ran the following on

  now, i'm unsure what it means to say that those devices are
"unavailable" since i'm currently running an opensuse 10.3 VM and the
mouse and keyboard are certainly available and functioning properly.

  so what exactly does "unavailable" mean in the above?  i have *not*
configured USB support in any of my VMs but would that make any
difference since i'm running the above command on the *host*?  thanks.
