Subject: Re: [vbox-users] Copy Virtual Machine to another PC

I had installed Fedora 7 on top of VMWare,
and I was able to boot it with VBOX. Of course,
I had to install vbox specific tools in guest OS
once I booted and loged-in so that graphics and
ether would work. Albeit, I still have not been
able to get there yet :(.

So the answer is yes and no, depending on how
much work you are willing to put into it :)

Cheers,

JD

Hello,

I am new to virtualbox but I have used other virtual machines in the past. With
Parallels and Vmware I have been able to copy the virtual disks to other
machines I have instead of performing a separate OS install on each machine. Is
it possible to copy the installed virtual OS's from one of my machines to
another without the need to install? If so, are there specific files to copy to
ensure that the process is successful.

Thanks

Scott
