I had a look at the forum, as suggested, and found a fix. This will do until shared folders are working. Here is a description in non-technical language for non-technical types like me: In OS X System Preferences>Sharing I enabled Windows Sharing and the dialog advised 'Windows users can access your computer at <address>' Back in the Windows box... I opened 'My Network Places' and clicked 'Add a network Place'. I entered the <address> and gave my OS X password. Lordy, Lordy! I now have a link in 'My Network Places' to my user space in OS X and can seamlessly access and copy files across the great OS X/Windows divide. If a similar approach would work to link Windows in the VM box to a USB stick plugged into the Mac (appearing on my Mac as USB DISK). Then I would be able to access/copy file here too. Anyone know how? Thanks for the response, Christian. I hope this helps others in a similar situation. _______________________________________________ vbox-users mailing list [email protected] http://vbox.innotek.de/mailman/listinfo/vbox-users
