Hello list,
I'm trying to get VirtualBox to run an Ubuntu 8.04 guest with a minimal
(module-less) 2.6.24 kernel, in order to do try out some kernel
patches.
Unfortunately I don't seem to be able get the .config right, somehow my
custom kernel is unable to discover the emulated PCI IDE controller. The
standard Ubuntu 8.04 -386 kernel with a zillion driver modules works
fine.
It would be really great if someone could post a minimal working
guest kernel config.
