As mentioned I'll need another day or two to properly compare before
submitting a bug report. However:
Host: Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 - 2.6.22-14-generic
Guest: Windows 2000 Pro (fully updated) w/memory set to 275MB and disk
space set to 6.5GB (4GB is used)

Note: the 1.5.6 comparison machine is identical - including guest
software - with the exception of memory. Memory in that machine is 768MB.

I have resolved this today. I neglected to reinstall the new guest
addition when I upgraded from 1.5.6 to 1.6.2. Since doing that, the
video issues seem to be mostly taken care of.
Note: I'm hesitant to upgrade the 3rd system (same hardware, host,
guest) that is running Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 2.6.24-19-generic until I
finish testing the Gutsy systems.
I want to be sure to have some valid & useful data before submitting a
bug report, so it will me another day or two to put it together properly.
