I've also seen these segfaults (on 1.5.6_OSE on Ubuntu 8.04), they
could be greatly reduced in number by switching on VT-x/AMD-V
(if you have hardware that supports this), but
they didn't go away completely even then (with the PCnet-PCI III NIC at
least).
