Hi, My Base O/S is openSUSE 11.0 and I'm virtualizing Windows XP/SP 3.
Ever since 1.5.6 of VirtualBox, I've noticed opening a file, and more importantly, saving changes, across a share is very slow. I've been meaning to post but I've been smeared with work so my apologies. :) My work-around has been to copy the file to the VM, make changes and copy the file back - this is why it hasn't been a pressing issue. As a test case, if I create a new Powerpoint file (Office 2007) with two slides (file size 37K), it takes about six seconds to save the file. I've confirmed I'm using the latest VirtualBox additions (1.6.6r35336). I've also removed the share and re-created the share to no avail. Any ideas?
