G'day, I installed Win XP (MacOSX Leopard Host) (what a mission!!) specifically to access a rather obscure Win application "DVRPlay" required to access the hard drive of the Swann DVR Business, a black box that monitors 4 different security cameras. The software comes on a mini-CD that can't be accessed with the MacBook suckymoto DVD drive but I copied it to a Flashdrive with another desktop PC.
DVRPlay installed with no apparent problems, but when I connected to the DVR (via USB) and launched DVRPlay it spat the dummy claiming "Application could not locate DirectX. Please install latest version of DirectX. Error: 0xA8005" I duly downloaded and installed DirectX (another mission!!) and according to dxdiag I have DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) installed, which I believe to be the latest version for Win XP, but I'm still getting the "Can't locate DirectX", even after restarting both WinXP and VBox. I'm stuck....any suggestions? --- Keep in touch....Ian Orchard <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ vbox-users mailing list [email protected] http://vbox.innotek.de/mailman/listinfo/vbox-users
