Sorry if this is not the right place for my question, and for being a NB in
Unix in general & OpenSolaris especially

I did set up a windows 2008 host, loaded sun virtualbox on it, and installed
successfully Vista Guest, XP guest, Ubuntu Guest, solving all the little issues
I encountered. In the process I created 2 host virtual interfaces, that I
bridged in the 2008 server, and used host interfaces in my virtualbox. Doing
so allowed me to see my local network and see/access other machines shared
drives, print server...

I then proceeded with an OpenSolaris virtual guest, by far the most
challenging. I got it up, but no sound and NO BROWSING.

I created a new host interface, included it in the bridge in the host. I did
configure the guest with a static IP. From the guest I can ping anything within
my local LAN, and I can access my router, log in, and see all the settings. In
other words, I am obviously connected locally. However..

If I try to ping anything in the outside world, such as the DNS servers, the
ping fails.
All other machines, hosts & guests, connect without any problems. This email
is send from my webmail interface accessed from the windows 2008 host.

Has anybody any idea what it might be, and how to solve it? I can email as
attachment a printscreen from the ifconfig results on the solaris guest if
needed.

Thanks
Marc
