Hi, I was using VBox and it locked up on me saying that there is no more memory on the host computer. Yet, I still had 20+ gig of hd space, and +1gig of ram on the host. Also, I allocated more ram memory (700 meg ram) on the virtualbox instance and it was still happening. At the time this happened, the VBox's hd space is more than 15 gig. of ram.
