Thanks for all the input guys n gals its greatly appreciated. Maciek Kaliszewski mentioned that I would have problems with network settings which rolls me on to another question I forgot to ask. This particular host server has two NICs so one is in use and one is spare. Can I make virtual box use the other interface so the host and guest operating systems have independent NICs?
Hopefully that would solve my networking problem, I could just use the second NIC on the Debian guest system and set the same address as it was when it was its own physical host and fingers crossed just continue as normal? -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.1 GIT/MU/U dpu s: a--> C++>$ U+> L++> B-> P+> E?> W+++>$ N K W++ O M++>$ V- PS+++ PE++ Y+ PGP t 5 X+ R- tv+ b+> DI D+++ G+ e(+++++) h--(++) r++ z++ ------END GEEK CODE BLOCK------ _______________________________________________ vbox-users mailing list [email protected] http://vbox.innotek.de/mailman/listinfo/vbox-users
