Hi there,

I wanted to try the Windows7-RC, so I created a new machine on my
openSUSE 11.1, where I installed VB 2.2.2-ose from the openSUSE build
service.

I selected the SATA-Controller, and tried to boot. Got an error. Back to
IDE => no error.

Activated the SATA again, this time not putting the harddisk on it,
instead setting it as IDE Master. But again, as soon as the SATA
controller is enabled, I get an error saying:

> Die virtuelle Maschine Brutus_Windows_7 konnte nicht gestartet werden.

("The virtual Machine Brutus_Windows_7 could not be started")

> Unknown error creating VM (VERR_PDM_DEVICE_NOT_FOUND).

> Komponente:

> Interface:
> IConsole {9511bc54-15ee-4ddf-808e-472aba03809c}

I googled the error message, and found
http://78.46.147.154/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=16554

which say "SATA is not supported in OSE (thou it appears as a option in
the menu listing...)". Is that so? That would be a pain in the ass,
especially as it is not nice to still have it as an menu option...

Regards,
OJ
