I've now tried running an Ubuntu 9.04 guest on VirtualBox 3.0.2 using two different host operating systems, Leopard 10.5.7 and Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 (amd64). In both of these cases, I get bad behavior after installing the guest additions. I want to know if anyone else has had similar experiences with the X3100 and VirtualBox 3.0.2 and if anyone has found a way around them (besides "don't use guest additions".)
Common to both hosts: - User login screen is usually squashed to top ~60 pixels of guest window. Sometimes resizes correctly after login. Leopard host: - Switching back and forth between full screen randomly causes guest to abort. - Attempting to shut down the guest via the "shutdown" command or the guest's shutdown button causes guest to abort. Windows host: - Switching to full screen works, but the display is never updated once in full screen - it's frozen in place. I can kind of drag a window but I get no UI feedback. So fullscreen is useless. - Shutdown appears to work properly. Any ideas? I posted a message to the forum but have received no responses in several days. http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=19883 Thanks, Greg
