Have you tried clicking the Install Guest Additions options within
VirtualBox, this usually mounts the CD in the guest for you.

N.B., I would have posed this question in the forum, but it is not
possible for a person who is not yet a user of VirtualBox to
register for membership in the forums. In addition to entering
one's email twice a manifestly silly requirement), one must provide
the version number of the VirtualBox software that on is currently
using. A person not yet using the software cannot answer that
question correctly. One silly requirement I can tolerate. Two is a
DQ.
