You can make a screenshot from VM:

for example:
under windows: select window press    <ALT-Gr> + Print   - keys  and
paste it into your favorite graphic program.
under linux:  use e.g. ksnapshot or any other screen shot tool

To pause your VM, use from VirtualBox menu: Machine -> Pause   (Host+P)
