I'm running OpenSolaris 2009-06 on VB 3.0.6 on OS X 10.4.11.
But the only notification I got of the update was Frank Mehnert's
announcement on this list.
Until VBox 3.0.6 we did not treat the 3.0.x as stable as VBox 2.2.4.
Therefore, people who still run VBox 2.2.4 don't receive update
notifications but people running any 3.0.x version get notified when
a new 3.0.x version is released. We will change the notificatiton,bu
mechanism in the near future to allow the user to choose the policy.
And I assume with the next maintenance version we will notify all
users.
I finally decided to upgrade to 3.0.6 PUEL ,but I have some doubts about
registration procedure .
I chose password longer than 10 and containing non alphanumerical
characters . It failed ,but who cares :-) its only registration form.
Then I chose proper password :-) , but Vbox complained about bad IP ,and
procedure failed. I don't know why :-) . Internet connection is via ppp0
,and eth0 is assigned to local net.
