Hey List, I am trying to run an existing virtual machine in headless mode on a server. (Guest: CentOS 5.3 x86, Host: Win2k3 Standard SP2 x64);
If I fire up the VM from the command prompt using the headless executable the VM comes up fine (using: vboxheadless.exe -startvm VMName). However, I have followed the tutorial here (http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15449&p=64465#p64465) to use the srvstart.exe method and I'm just not having any joy. When I try and run my service the command prompt window pops up then disappears and my debug log says the following (http://pastebin.com/m2880985a) which is apparently a problem accessing a stderr or stdout but I have followed the tutorial to the letter which means my "Allow service to interact with the desktop" option is enabled. Also I have followed the tutorial here (http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15164&p=63254#p63254) to use the srvany.exe method and also I'm having no luck with this? With this method my debug log is saying this (http://pastebin.com/m616297cd) which is strange as obviously both methods use the same xml config file but I'm getting a different error with each and ultimately still neither are working? Has anyone managed to correctly get this working and if so how did you do it? Thanks for your time. -- Regards, James ;) Charles de Gaulle - "The better I get to know men, the more I find myself loving dogs." - http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/c/charles_de_gaulle.html _______________________________________________ vbox-users mailing list vbox-users@virtualbox.org http://vbox.innotek.de/mailman/listinfo/vbox-users
