Hey gang, I know I've asked this question before, but I have come face
to face with it again.

I had to do a factory reset on my laptop due to an os change that
didn't work as planned.

I'm now at windows 7 64bit home premium

I'm running vbox 3.1.2 r56127

I have a win xp pro guest running a bridged net pretending to be a
pcnet III adapter inside the guest and this setup works flawlessly.

I added a ubuntu guest and setup bridged networking and no joy. Ive
changed to every single other ethernet adapter and tried again, and
that doesn't help.

Ive tried changing from bridged to NAT and that didnt change anything either.

Ubuntu can not get a DHCP address no matter what I try.

I am willing to provide any testing needed, but I don't know what
testing needs to be done.

I have some other OSes I need to try because I eventually need a BSD
guest as well. We can see if FreeBSD and FreeDOS behave differently.

In the mean time, if anyone has an idea I'm getting kind of frustrated.

Rance
