I have to second Fernando here. I spend most (enough) of my time on e-mail already, without spending even more time opening my web browser, and browsing through forums, which I have never been a fan of either. Unless there is a way to integrate e-mail with the forums as Fernando has suggested above, I personally wouldn't welcome the closing of this list. I probably wouldn't ever bother with the forums, unless I had a problem I couldn't solve on my own. I know that may seem unfair, harsh, and selfish, but unfortunately that's what my approach would have to be if I had to take extra time out of my day to browse through the forums.
