I would create a new list.  Primarily because I'm not sure where all the
domain, local, etc info is stored.  However, it's not that big of a
deal.

Create the list with ezmlm-make, then run something like this:

ezmlm-list /path/to/old/list | ezmlm-sub /path/to/new/list

That will subscribe all the members of the old list to the new one.
This way you are sure to get it all set up correctly without missing
anything that needs to be changed.  Oh, and you'd want to repeat the
above command but append /mod to both paths to transfer over any
moderators.
