It's possible that users/assign and users/cdb are not in sync. If you have cdb installed (http://cr.yp.to/cdb.html) you can run the following command to see: cdbdump < /var/qmail/users/cdb |grep --binary-files=text bsdpeople If the domain is still listed there then you need to re-run qmail-newu, but be careful that what is in /var/qmail/users/assign is what you really want.
