you surely need to remove write permission to group and others, thus I'd
perform a
chmod -R go-w /var/vpopmail
this might already fix everything.
Furthermore, you should remove every right for groups and others in
the domains directory, thus
chmod -R go-rwx /var/vpopmail/omains
Then it looks like what I have on my mailserver.
