Templates from an URL...is possible?

I mean, instead of writing:
Velocity.mergeTemplate("paises.vm",ctx,somethingHTML);

...something like:
Velocity.mergeTemplate("http://anothermachine/templates/paises.vm",ctx,smthi
ng);

Is possible to do that?
