You can help with that :)
 
The thing to straighten out is the part about 'what you are trying to do'.
What I mean by that is that you have a mental and working model of how
things should work.

I have a different point of view, looking at the VelValue class as something
that can be used as a universal tool for comparison and valuation that would
require no special changes to the core of Velocity.

Others will have yet a different view.

Somewhere among those  points is the right answer.

So don't give up.
