Hi,
Hmm... Looks ok to me. The automatically generated reports and standard
links to project info are nice. And Tim will be happy we're reverting back
to full page-width text. (fine with me, too).
I want to be sure to keep the generated website with 1.4 docs while the
generated site on a local machine should be the docs for the latest source.
The main difference is the table of contents. In the ant build there's a
flag that controls this. Will the maven build work similarly? Also,
perhaps we should remove the "external link" icon (if possible) since the
Wiki is part of the same project.
More important... Geir's expressed strong concerns in the past that a maven
built web site would be significantly harder to maintain than an ant/xdocs
site. Is this true? (I've no experience with the Maven doc system).

looks cool. though, not everyone has their desktop background set to
white (e.g. me), so it looks a little funky. better not to leave the
default background to the user's machine, for consistency.

Hi,
under http://jakarta.apache.org/velocity/maven-built/ is a maven built
site of the current Velocity tree (1.5-dev). I used a custom style
sheet to approximate the current "Velocity style" a bit and to make
that site a bit less "look like a 08/15 maven built site". :-)
Comments welcome. For the code and everything I still want to have the
ant build as "canonical". But the maven site is really
attractive. Check out the "Project Documentation" Project Info and
Project Reports trees...
Best regards
Henning
