i don't know a whole lot about rss/rdf stuff, but i'm rather sure it's
a text format (not binary). if so, Velocity should be as useful for
that as for html. you might just set up a second servlet (perhaps
even a VVS subclass) for that. (of course, since i know very little
about rss/rdf, i could be way off :)

I don't really understand what is being asked, but RSS 2.0 has nothing to do with RDF (RSS 1.0 does, but not RSS 0.91 - I know, arrggghhh).

The best thing to do is keep your content seperate from your presentation. RSS is just another way to present your content. If you can present an HTML page, you should be able to present the content as RSS or Atom.

Hey,

I know this is off topic, but I am a bit stumped.

I have a site currently with about 60 web pages using Velocity, Velocity-Tools,
Tiles, and Struts. The site is complete and I am completely happy with the
results.

Now requirements change a bit and there might be need to be able to give RSS
feeds off of some of the web pages.

I do not know how to approach this change. I am starting to look at RSS 2.0
and rdf, but I am wondering your thoughts are on what I can do with these
Velocity Templates. What would you consider a best library/tool approach in
going after this?

Thanks for any ideas on this somewhat off topic question.

John
