* Title: Sr. Network Security Engineer with Checkpoint **(2 Positions)* * Location: Stamford | CT* * Start date: Interview on your Availability * * Duration: 6+ Months * *Responsibilities:* *There’s actually two positions, one is more senior. * *At least some Check Point firewall experience is a requirement * *High level network analyst. Must understand networking requirements of financial services environments (e.g. VLANs, trunking, multicast, VRFs, OSPF& BGP routing, in a Cisco based environment). Experience in financial services environments a must; experience using firewalls to segment between development and production environments highly desirable, experience with common development tools a strong plus. Fundamental understanding of network security mandatory, including real world experience with firewalls from both Cisco and Check Point. Must possess sound understanding of networking requirements to support infrastructure communication in environments which include Windows (AD, CIFS/SMB, etc), Unix (NIS+, NFS, etc), VMware, and EMC SAN.* *Ability to work flexible hours to support operational model (change control) is a requirement. * *Network Security Engineer* * At least some Check Point firewall experience is a requirement* * Intermediate level network engineer (strong CCNP level), with fundamental understanding of network security especially operational and configuration support of Cisco and/or Check Point firewalls. Experience in financial services environments highly desirable but not mandatory. Experience using firewalls to segment between development and production environments desirable, experience with common development tools a plus.
