Hi Everyone-In the sunny West most facilities want the sites checked at
least every two hours and charted at least once per shift (q12h). The
pediatric community on the other hand
requires ALL IVs to be checked and charted q1h. Additionally in
Pediatrics all IVs are on
pumps+ Buretrols (with not more than 2 hours of fluid in the
chamber) and even piggybacks are delivered by syringe pumps. Kathy
