4 Fr DL picc inserted 10/31. pt is about 150 lb. tip in brachialcephalic; for abx. picc removed 11/7 -- treatment complete, pt discharged home.
11/15 ultrasound (outpatient) shows thrombosis from
axillary vein, extended to SC and brachialcephalic.
the arm did not swell up until a few days picc
removal.
question for the group,
why didn't the s/s show up earlier?
