We used to use Claves but they are not positive pressure devices - you will
need both the saline and heparin

Can anyone tell me if the plain Clave is
a heparin only adapter? I don't use it, but I am thinking it is
not. I was at another facility to declot a PICC and the pt said he
thought it would work better if they used heparin. They were not using a
CLC2000, just the Clave.
