We do the time out. It's documented on the back of the consent form. We don't do the site marking unless there is a reason why that site, and only that site, can be used for access. Otherwise, the "right site" is the one the inserter chooses based on assessment.
Aloha, Maria >>> "Helen lazeration" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 01/10/06 05:21PM >>> We have been having discussions as of late at our facility regarding marking PICC, CVC sites prior to procedures and also doing a "time out" for these insertion procedures. Does anyone out there do this for these type of procedures?
