Subject: Re: [vascular] PICC's and Infusers...Problems??

We use elastomerics for a lot of therapies in the outpatient area,
including the KVO device for those who can not use heparin and have not
found this to be an issue. It should not be if they are being
disconnected soon after completion of the dose and the line is flushed
correctly.

Is anyone using infusers (elastomeric) with PICC's seeing increased
clotting of catheters?...esp. in the out-patient settings

Thanks!
