I doubt your will find much about legal cases because most of these are settled out of court without a trial. This means that the settlement is confidential and both parties agree not to discuss it. I may serve as an expert in these cases, but I am never told the details of the outcome if it did not go to trial. Out of about 40 cases in the past 10 years, I have never testified at a trial. So the vast majority never go to trial. Lynn

I would like to obtain some really gruesome extravasation pictures.  I am especially interested in cytotoxic drugs (Taxol in particular).  The Gyn/Onc doc's in my facility are trying to say it is ok to give vesicant chemo drugs peripherally as long as they are less then 4 hour infusions.  If the peripheral site was receiving appropriate observation and care, it might not be bad, but they want to put a patient in a closed off room, away from nursing supervision, and give these infusions.  The nurses are scared to death.  I need to put together a scarey presentation for these doc's complete with pictures and possibly some legal cases (Sue? Darnell?)  Can anyone help me out?  E-mail me privately.
Thanks ahead of time!
