Subject: Re: Question for a colleague

When I went back for my BSN, I attended Union College ('92 ) and was
taught how to start an IV, complications, etc. We practiced on a dummy
arm, then on each other at school, and started IV's at the hospitals we
had practicums at.
We have 3 schools of nursing that have clinicals where I work and all
three of them have IV starts as part of their clinicals and have had
since I started working here in '75.
