| Hello Lorelei, I took the RN-performed Radiographic confirmation of PICCs put on by JAMIE BOWEN SANTOLUCITO Rn and Dr. Peter T. Verhey. They are from Portland, Oregan. Have you by any chance taken this seminar? Jamie had a slide that listed 12 or 17 states that were doing Rn interpretation of PICC tips. Michigan was one of the states listed. That is where I got my info. I don't know where they got there info. If
you have not taken the seminar let me know , because it has letters and guidelines that were used in attaining the ability to do this in Oregan. It also has an article by Timothy Ian Royer, BSN, CRNI, titled "A process toward certifying registered nurses to read x-rays: experience in Washington state." We were encouraged to use these as guidelines when addressing the BON. I would be willing to share these, if you have not had the prividledge of seeing them. I have not yet heard of any specific hospitals in Mi., only that there are hospitals doing it.
