Have you attempted to use the  "3M Cavilon No-Sting Barrier film" on the patient's skin prior to placing a dressing?  This is a plastisizer that provides a protectant between the patient's skin and the dressing is also promotes the dressing to stick to some patients who have problems.  This has been our soloution.  Hope this helps.

Hello All!!

I have a patient with graft versus host disease and all of the associated skin issues. He has a picc line but we can not get the dressing to stick to him for any length of time, usually longer than 24 hours. At a loss for what to do. Please advise if you have any ideas.
