RE: outpt infusion reusing IV tubing 72hr

I would be very concerned about safety in storing the tubing in
the med room and reusing it.  There is no guarantee that it will
remain sterile and not tampered with or accidentally used on
another patient.  It is difficult enough to be sure the patient
receives the right medication let alone having the correct tubing
hung. No studies, but seems like an unsafe practice.  Patty
