Chylothorax is where lymph fluid leaks into the thoracic area or subq
area or from the puncture site. This is most often seen with left
sided insertions because of the large thoracic duct joins the
subclavian vein on the left but it can occur in other places also.
The fluid is a yellowish color. Lynn
