It comes to mind there are epidural tubings for some pumps that are nto only color yellow coded; but also totally not compatible with regular IV tubings too.  Instead of having a 'male end'...it has female ends.  Of course this just might bring out the ingenuity of some nurses, in their 'jerry rigging' skills!
